Lego MGM Grand, Miniland Las Vegas
Just got back from a trip from Vegas. Since it was 112 degrees during most of our visit, I didn’t have a chance to snap many shots of the famous Strip. Luckily Legoland has me covered. Here is the Lego version of our Las Vegas adventures:

Lego Excalibur, Miniland Las Vegas

Lego New York New York, Miniland Las Vegas

Lego Treasure Island, Miniland Las Vegas
We tried to see the Treasure Island sirens show when we were in Vegas. The crowds were so huge we could only catch a glimpse. Probably a good thing since this show is decidedly PG-18. Those sirens wear some skimpy lingerie! I think we will be sticking to viewing the Legoland version in the future.
I have a blog post about family friendly Las Vegas pools on Uptake this week. Check it out.

I love Miniland. Since we went, my son wants to go to Vegas. I keep telling him it’s not as cute as the one in Legoland. He’ll have to see for himself.
how long do you think it took them to make even one of those displays? that’s art!
I’m really looking forward to visit Legoland in Nov. How long do you think typical family spend time in Legoland? Full day?
Hi Amy,
I would definately plan to spend a full day. There is plenty of ground to cover. Bring your swim suits and some towels. The water play area is really fun.
I always get such a kick out of the Lego photos I see posted online any more. The things they do with Legos these days are so fabulous!
Thanks for the tip about the swimsuits. Will it be warm enough in Nov to play in the water or the beach for that matter?
Good point about the swim suits. After I posted I thought…oops November. Here’s the scoop. The answer is maybe or maybe not, but there is also a question about whether they will have the water features running at that time of year. You could call ahead an check. If the weather is nice they may be running it over Thanksgiving break if that is when you will be visiting.
Often in November we have Indian Summer here in Carlsbad. I have spent several Thanksgiving days in our relative’s pool. If so, the water would be a bit chilly, but a trip to the beach could be fun. (If the kids have spring suits and you can bring them, that might also work). Keep an eye on the weather channel as you get closer to your trip so you know how to prepare. You can also just contact me via twitter or Twitter Moms and I’ll let you know what I’m seeing.
Have a great trip!
