From world-class surfing to world-class shopping and everything in-between – it is all at Carlsbad beach. There are enough diverse activities for everyone that will keep even the most restless teenager in euphoric bliss.

State Parks are critical to our way of life all over the US. They give us a wide variety of recreational choices.

Michigan is also considering a Auto Registration add-on that would give free access to all MI vehicles. Currently we have a day-fee or annual window sticker fee.

I used to hang out at this beach all the time. I had a bunch of friends that lived right near it. This was over 14 years ago.

California is doing some amazing things with beach cleanups, i’M so glad to hear it. Also, Surfrider foundation is a huge organization to do just that. You can team up with them.

Best of luck with your parks project
I can understand your affection for California parks and beaches…I feel similarly about our parks and beaches here in Michigan. I have an special affection for our lighthouses, too. We try to do our best to support things here in Michigan by purchasing park passes, buying a membership in a lighthouse preservation group and becoming members of most museums and cultural groups here in metro Detroit. Everyone is struggling for $$, so every dollar counts with these groups now.
