Justin, Age 9 Took This Photo At the MGM Rainforest Cafe
Hi All,
Sorry this is more a Photo Saturday post. We got back from Las Vegas at 7pm tonight, and I’m still popping my littlest back in to bed since he had such a satisfying nap in the car. I’ll have plenty of adventures and misadventures to report later this week.
These photos were taken by my son Justin at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Grand Hotel Las Vegas. We arrived and checked in very late after having had Ken’s cell phone stolen at the Circus Circus Adventuredome. The kids were starving as we hit the restaurant after 7pm. The place is pricey, but the atmosphere was so entertaining it kept almost everyone happy and busy until the food arrived. (Destiny found the animals a wee to realistic and scary!)

What Justin Wanted to Order (Mom and Dad Said it Was Too Expensive)
As you can see, Justin kept busy by taking pictures around the restaurant. I love his perspective. He took pictures of things that I would never considered as a photo subject.

Sometimes a good way to keep a school aged child occupied is to have them take charge of the camera. Justin’s pictures were better than any I could have taken. Since he was in charge, he wasn’t trying to pose for pictures with a finger in his nose…Nine is a very fun age

Happy Trails,

Having handed my camera to my daughter many a time, I know you had more than a few to edit through.
But that’s half the fun of giving a kid a camera, they see things so differently than we ‘learned’ adults and EVERYTHING is of interest. It’s a good reminder of finding enjoyment in the mundane.
Justin did a fabulous job on these photos!
